REAL SENSOR DATA

Analyze Vibration Data from CSV

Import numeric samples from your own sensor recordings. CSV data is processed locally in this browser; it is not uploaded to VectoraLab.

Enter the actual sampling rate used when recording the signal. If you have a timestamp column, do not select it as the signal; this version uses the sample rate you enter.

How to Use the Online Vibration Analyzer

This free online vibration analyzer generates synthetic signals so you can explore time waveforms, frequency spectra and basic statistical measurements. It is designed for learning and experimentation, not for diagnosing real machinery from sensor measurements.

Getting Started

  1. Choose a signal type: sine, square, sawtooth or impulse.
  2. Adjust RPM, amplitude and noise to see how the generated signal changes.
  3. Select Run Analysis to generate the waveform, FFT display and summary statistics.

Understanding the Results

RMS

Measures the signal's root-mean-square level. In vibration work, its interpretation depends on units, sensor calibration, measurement direction and operating conditions.

Peak

The largest absolute sample in the generated signal. A peak alone does not establish that a machine has a fault.

Crest Factor

The peak value divided by RMS. It compares the largest excursion with the overall signal level and can be sensitive to isolated peaks.

Kurtosis

Describes aspects of the signal's amplitude distribution. Here it is calculated as the fourth standardized central moment; conventions that subtract 3 report excess kurtosis instead.

Reading the Waveform and FFT

The time waveform shows how the synthetic signal changes across its samples. The FFT display shows relative spectral magnitudes for the first frequency bins, but this version does not label the frequency axis or calibrate the spectrum to physical units. Treat it as a visual learning aid rather than a calibrated measurement.

Important limitation

Signals are generated synthetically in the browser. The results are not measurements from a physical machine and should not be used alone for maintenance or safety decisions.
